I watched engineers redraw the same diagram, again and again.
Since 2024, I have worked in the methods and tools team of a large nuclear company. Around me, engineers filled in Excel files, then modelled the same diagram by hand in drawing software. Each diagram took 1 to 5 hours, and everything started again at the slightest change.
I did not ask the team to change the way it worked. First, I listened to the engineers, in meetings: who fills in what, in which file, how many times the same information is typed again, and what each person expects from the tool.
Then I built the tool around their habits. The engineers keep filling in Excel, as before. The diagram generates itself in a few seconds, and every correction made on the diagram goes back into Excel. Nobody copies anything by hand any more. The tool is deployed in France, and being rolled out in Germany.

Tradespeople and small businesses often live the same thing, but rarely have a methods team and a developer to deal with it. Those are the businesses I started mine for. I come and see how you work, and I deliver a tool that is tested, documented and understood by the people who use it.
